Eat Like A Horse

Here it is: John's secret to losing weight - eat like a horse and exercise like two horses. Great theory but it takes a lot of discipline to put into practice. Walkers, the potato crisp people have made it a little easier. Now you no longer need to be burdened with guilt while munching away at your favourite crisps. The new batch of crisps that shipped into Canada a couple of weeks ago was cooked in Sunseed Oil. Now there is 70% less saturated fat in the product, so when you have the munchies – go right ahead, indulge yourself. Sunseed Oil is a special type of sunflower oil that is naturally high in mono-unsaturates – just like olive oil. Each bag also contains just 0.5g of salt which is 8% of the daily guideline amount (in the UK). The British government is working to combat a growing obesity problem in the UK so this is welcome news for those of us who like to snack.

On The Air - Literally
If you bought “On The Air” magazine recently you probably saw Blighty's ad. Now we are going “on the air” in a more literal sense. John is off to a studio on Monday to record Blighty's first radio commercial which will air May 7th and 13th. More details closer to the event, but here's a hint. If you like to listen to English, Scottish and Irish music on the radio on a Sunday afternoon and you live within about 100km of Toronto you will hear Blighty's on the radio. Until tomorrow - enjoy the sunshine; its going to last through the weekend!
